L-Mesitran Soft’s formulation contains 40% medical grade honey, medical grade hypoallergenic lanolin, propylene glycol, PEG 4000, vitamin C and E.
As it is a primary wound dressing, L-Mesitran Soft can be covered with most commonly used secondary wound dressings and prevents it from adhering to the wound bed.
L-Mesitran Soft is used to cleanse, assist in the reduction of bacterial infection and help quicken and optimize the healing process of many types of wounds.

I bought a second tube of L-Mesitran Soft and the colour varied slightly. Is something wrong with it?
No. L-Mesitran Soft can vary in colour from white to light yellow to light brown due to the use of natural ingredients.
There are sugar crystals in the gel. Should I be concerned?
No. There may be sugar crystals present in the gel as the active ingredient is medical grade honey. This is normal and will not affect the effectiveness or the application.
May I interchange L-Mesitran Ointment and L-Mesitran Soft?
No. Your physician will prescribe the L-Mesitran preparation that he/she thinks will be most suitable for your condition. The formulations are not identical.
