Brief Description
L-Mesitran Hydro is a hydro-active, low-adherence, honey-containing dressing for use on chronic or acute wounds.
L-Mesitran Border is identical, but with an adhesive border.

Product Description
Both L-Mesitran Hydro and Border are dressings with a honey hydro-gel pad that donates moisture to re-hydrate dry tissue, and are also able to absorb low levels of exudate to help maintain a moist environment conducive to healing.
Its formulation contains 30% medical grade honey, an acrylic polymer gel and water with a polyurethane film backing, either with (Border) or without (Hydro) an adhesive border.
L-Mesitran Border is useful where patients need to shower with the dressing in place, but care must be taken that the adhesive does not come into contact with the wound surface. L-Mesitran Hydro must be properly secured using an appropriate fixation method.
